January Demo
British blacksmith, Henry Promfret, will be at Sahuaro Ranch on January 17th thru 18th . Self-employed blacksmith from 1984-1991. Taught blacksmithing in Botswana and returned worked as a journeyman smith in the UK until 1999. Attending a Henry Promfret demonstration is, for most of us, a once in a lifetime opportunity. You won’t want to miss it!
Friday evening January 16th AABA will be hosting Henry Pomret at GRIZZ's shop (1329 W. Lincoln St., Phoenix, AZ (Click here for a map) for a get together and slideshow presentation of some of Henry's recent work and also a talk about Herford College. This will stat at 6:00pm The Demo on Sat and Sun will be based on a "Staff of Samples"

3rd Annual Blacksmith Conference
February 14 & 15, 2009

Blacksmithing Demo: Dorothy Stiegler & Jacob Hill
Peih Tool Company, Inc is hosting a 2 day blacksmithing demonstration. Dorothy and Jacob will demonstrate how to forge bronze. Dorothy is renowned for her forged flowers and leaves and will incorporate these as well as forge welding, square corners and tons of helpful tips into the demonstration.

Workshops
Through out the year Workshops and informal Hammer-ins will be organized by the club or club members. These events will be held in various location and may pop up very quickly.

Need Coal?
Joe Hernandez is preparing to order a truckload of West Virginia coal. It will be in 50 # bags for easy handling. The coal will be delivered to Joe's shop in Marana sometime in February. A fork lift will be available for loading.
